Burnett strikes Gold in Singapore

Ryan Burnett has won Olympic Gold for Ireland in the mens light flyweight defeating Salman Alizada of Azerbaijan 13-6 in the Youth Olympic Games final in Singapore. IOC member Pat MCQuaid presented the medals.Jacques Rogge watched Burnetts final and immediately called OCI President Pat Hickey to congralutate him on Ireland's success in the ring.

Ireland finish 5th in the Youth Olympic hockey tournament
