The Olympic Council of Ireland were pleased to support a very productive day at Carton House which will act as a good lead in to the youth and senior European team Championships and Nanjing Youth Olympic Games.
International expert Dr. Joseph Parent, who has worked closely with the world’s top golfers such as VJ Singh, spent time with both athletes and the coaches ensuring that their psychological preparation in is line with best practice for an upcoming international event, namely the youth Olympics and European Team Championships. His session included on course and off course sessions at Carton House.
It was the first time that both Ireland’s top male and female golfers had been brought together in this format, thanks to Irish golf’s Performance Directors Neil Manchip, David Kearney and Team captains listed below.
Following in house seminars, and putting green practice sessions golfers played four ball matches in the afternoon as follows-
