1st European Games – Baku 2015 and the Performance Grants from the European Olympic Committee (EOC)

At the first European Games in Baku from 12th -28th June 2015 Team Ireland Athletes achieved fantastic results.

 

Our medal winners Michael O’Reilly (Boxing) and Katie Taylor (Boxing)  – Gold and European Champions, Brendan Irvine (Boxing) – Silver,  Sam Magee (Badminton) – 2 Bronze,  Sean McComb (Boxing), Chloe Magee  and Josh Magee (Badminton) – Bronze – all are recipients of EOC Performance Grants.

However, the results of a total of 22 of our athletes achieved results that gave them EOC Performance Grants.

In total the Olympic Council of Ireland received 20,750 Euro for distribution to the athletes (current being distributed)

In addition to our medal winners the following also are in receipt of Performance Grants for achieving positions 4 – 8.
