Darren O’Neill into last 16
Team Ireland southpaw and heavyweight Darren O’Neill, pictured, made it two wins from two for Ireland at the European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan today.
The Irish Elite champion, who is captaining the Irish squad in the Azeri capital, scored an emphatic unanimous decision (30-27,30-24,30-26) over Romania’s Ionut Jitaru to book his ticket into the last 16.
