Torino debrief
The debrief was held on Tuesday 4th April at the OCI offices in Howth. The debrief consisted of a review of the procedures in the run up to the Games and operations while in Torino. The theme of the debrief was to identify what went well and what can be improved on for the next Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010.
Wintersports Forum
One of the main developments to come out of the debrief was the establishment of a Wintersports Forum. This forum will consist of members of the four affiliated wintersports National Federations (Bobsleigh & Skeleton, Curling, Ice Hockey and Snowsports), along with the OCI Chief Executive and Sports Director. The athletes present in Torino have been circulated with the details of the debrief and invited to make submissions to the next meeting of the Forum, which will be held on May 17th.
Athletes and coaches of a wintersport which is not represented at present by a National Federation should contact the OCI Sports Director in order have their situation considered at the Forum
