Melanie already performed PBs in the 200m IM and the 100m backstroke, breaking her own Irish Senior Record in a time of 1.04.44 in the 100m backstroke and placing 40th out of 86 swimmers, while ranking 23rd out of 49 swimmers in the 200 IM with a four second PB time of 2.18.68.
Ciara Farrell (Athlone SC and Loughborough University) has also performed strongly, achieving two PBs of 1.11.49 in the 100m breaststroke and 32.84 in the 50m split, placing her 29th in a field of 70 swimmers in this event.
