Irish Boxing team for World Championships announced

The World Championships are the first of three qualifying events for the 2008 Olympic Games. The Championships have attracted a record entry from 115 nations and commence on October 23rd.

All quarter-finalists from light-fly (48Kg) to light-heavy (81 Kg) and semi-finalists from heavy (91Kg) and super-heavy(91+Kg) will qualify for next year’s Olympics.
