Alpine skiing: Switzerland wins the boys slalom, Ireland finishes 42nd & 52nd

Cillian Worrall had put in a good 1st run, but a fall during his 2nd run caused him to loose over 20 seconds and possibly 7 or 8 places. At least his recovery meant that he was recorded as finishing in 52nd place. Matthew Mitchell was not so fortunate. He also fell, on his first run, but could not recover to finish the course.

The Swiss competitor Justin Mursier  won the race on the FIS rated Skrzyczne ski slope.

Conditions in Slask Beskidy are becoming very difficult with large falls of snow causing headaches for the competitiors and organisers alike.
