Horse Sport Ireland High Performance Manager Ginny Elliot has named the Irish squad for the European Eventing Championships in Fontainebleau, France which take place from September 23rd to 27th.

Horse Sport Ireland Chairman Joe Walsh has described Tattersalls International Horse Trials, incorporating the HSBC World Cup Qualifier, as an outstanding four days for Irish equestrian sport.

Horse Sport Ireland launched the conclusions of the Expert Group, chaired by Dr. Gordon Holmes, set up to look at measures to eradicate prohibited substances and practices from the Irish equestrian sector. The report comes on the back of positive medication cases involving horses ridden by Irish riders, two of which took place at the last two Olympic Games in Athens and Hong Kong.

The FEI yesterday confirmed that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed the appeal lodged by Irish show jumper Dennis Lynch in relation to his Olympic ban.

IRISH show jumper Denis Lynch is to remain under provisional suspension until a final decision regarding the doping/medication case involving his Olympic Games mount Lantinus is issued by the Federation Equestre Internationale tribunal.
