Coyle in World final

Ireland’s Natalya Coyle has qualified for the final of the Modern Pentahlon World Championships in Russia today. Coyle finished 11th in her semi final.

The top 36 athletes will compete in the final. The top three athletes qualify directly for the Olympic Games , but its an opportunity for finalists to gain significant ranking points towards qualification for London 2012.

In July this year Coyle, an Olympic scholarship athlete, finished 20th at the London 2012 test event.

The women’s final will take place in Moscow on Sunday 11th September. Coyle is joined in Moscow by team mates Arhtur Lannigan- O’Keefe and Eanna Bailey.

Coyle and Bailey will also compete in the mixed relay. Performance Director Lindsey Weedon is in Moscow with the team and continues to help her athletes climb the world rankings.
