Ireland’s Alex Dolly is making excellent progress on the World stage. Recently at the FILA Wrestling World Championships in Istanbul Turkey he finished 9th overall.
Dolly went 2-1 in an 84-kilo weight class that featured 48 wrestlers. Dolly defeated a Honduran in two periods, 3-1 and 6-0. He then beat a Macedonian in two periods, 3-0 and 6-0. eventually losing to a wrestler from Japan in a closely-contested three-period bout, winning the first, 1-0, losing the second, 2-0, and the third, 4-3, though he was leading late.
Dolly is based in Indiana in the United States.
