Doyle qualifies for World Cup Final

Ireland’s Fiona Doyle qualified for the final of the 200 metres breaststroke at the Fina short-course World Cup in Eindhoven this morning.

The 21-year-old from Dublin finished seventh in the only heat in a time of 2:26.86 and will start from lane one in tonight’s final, which is due to start at 6.26pm Irish time.

Doyle, a student at the University of Calgary in Canada, had earlier narrowly missed out on the 50 metres breaststroke after finishing in ninth place overall.
