The NOC of Slovenia have welcomed the delegations from the European NOCs to tackle key Olympic issues in Portoroz.
Invited by Janez Kocijancic, the President of the NOC of Slovenia, some 180 participants will debate key topics linked to forthcoming major events, for two and a half days; first and foremost London 2012, but also the European Youth Olympic Festival in Trabzon (TUR) in July, and the Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck and Nanjing in 2012.
This year, the EOC Seminar has again been jointly organized with the IOC Olympic Solidarity Forum so as to take advantage of an attentive audience to which to illustrate the many activities conducted for the benefit of Olympic Europe.
The programme includes two plenary sessions on general topics and two workshops, one on the EU and one on specific aspects of the London Games.
EOC President Patrick Hickey (IRL), Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi (ITA) and Pere Miró, Director of IOC Olympic Solidarity, will be among the keynote speakers at this meeting.
As is tradition, before the Seminar, the EOC Executive Committee will hold its second meeting of the year.
