Today was the first meeting of the newly elected European Olympic Committees, which was held in the IOC headquarters, de Coubertin Hall, chaired by President Patrick Hickey.
The meeting commenced in the presence of IOC President Thomas Bach and other IOC officials. Many items were discussed including Europe’s calendar and the inaugural European Games to be held in Baku 2015. The Minister of for Sport from Azerbaijan – Azad Rahimov also joined the meeting along with Vice President of NOC of Azerbaijan, Chingiz Huseynzada and Baku 2015 Consultants Simon Clegg and Asimakos Asimakopoulos. EOCs media expert and EOC consultant Jon Tibbs was also in attendance to advise the Association on communication strategy.
