European Olympic Committees General Assembly in Lisbon

In Lisbon there will also be the elections for the new Executive Committee that will be in charge till 2013. If the posts of president, vice-president, secretary general and treasurer present no surprises, with only one candidate for each, in all three cases the outgoing member, 19 candidates will be running for the 12 places available as members.

Another important event in Lisbon will be the Executive Committee meeting on the eve of the Assembly, Thursday 26 November. Numerous personalities and delegations are expected in Lisbon, first and foremost IOC President dr Jacques Rogge.
 
The delegation from the Rio 2016 Games will be making their debut, as will the cities bidding for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Many European IOC Members, delegations from Vancouver 2010, London 2012 and Sochi 2014, the Singapore 2010 inaugural Youth Olympic Games, and the representatives from the sports federations whose sports are on the EYOF programme will also attend, together with many others; some 240 participants in total.
