EYOF Tbilisi Team Ireland are all ready for action. The Opening Ceremony took place yesterday which included children’s dance groups performed from Georgian folk dances of the various regions. The journey of the Olympic flame was viewed during the Opening on the monitor as an aerial acrobat held up by a “heliosphere” ascended of the decorative mountain, before the flame was handed over to the Olympic champion Gela Ketashvili. The final torch-bearer who was also an Olympic champion, Zviad Zviaduari lit the Olympic flame in the stadium.
Swimming warm up and heats are on this morning with semi-finals this afternoon.
