World Champion Race Walker and Olympian Rob Heffernan is on a mission to inspire school children in the Cork area.
Heffernan is visiting a number of primary schools over the next few weeks to share his experiences and help inspire more Cork stars of the future.
His recent visit was to Conna National School and he spent time in all classrooms answering some very insightful questions from pupils.
Thanks to Principal Michael Mulcahy, class teachers, and pupils for such a great afternoon.
Rob said ” its a very vibrant sporting community from athletics, GAA, and horse racing country and I’m looking forward to running a few coaching sessions too”
He added “its a great initiative and i’m delighted to be able to share what it takes to become a world champion and encourage school kids to take part in a range of sport at all levels”.
