Kick-off of the major One World, One Dream mobile exhibition

This exhibition, designed by the Olympic Museum, produced in China and integrated into the Games Cultural Programme, will be presented in 12 other cities in China: Tsingtao, Nanjing, Wuhan, Changsha, Macao, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenyan and Tianjin – in a one-year journey across the country.

The inauguration was held at the International Congress Centre in the presence of IOC President Jacques Rogge, Chinese Olympic Committee President Liu Peng, Organising Committee (BOCOG) President Qi Liu and many other personalities. In his speech, the IOC President emphasised the message contained in the exhibition, the way to make the Olympic values – excellence, friendship and respect – concrete and raise awareness of them among the youth of the whole world.

One World,One Dream is the most important mobile exhibition mandate ever entrusted to the Olympic Museum. With a floor space of 2,500 m2, it comprises 731 items, including a full set of Summer Games torches for the first time outside Europe, a full set of Summer Games winners’ medals (gold, silver and bronze) for the first time in Asia, 200 photographs from the IOC’s collections, and two hours of films devoted exclusively to the glory of the Olympic Movement and its values.
