Kurten wins World Cup class at Leipzig

With both a win and a fifth place already under her belt since Saturday, the Antrim-born rider brought out her top horse, the 12 year- old bay mare for today’s  keynote event at the German show, and with a flawless clear round in the 12 horse jump- off left no doubt about her determination to stay at the front end of
the world rankings, leaving German contender Marcus Ehning almost a full second adrift on time.

Kurten collected not just valuable World Cup points for her showing today, but also a prize purse of just over 21,000 euro.

Ireland’s Denis Lynch, who like Kurten is now German-based, finished 10th in the Grand Prix on , a single fence down in the jump- off denying him a greater share of the prize money.
