The Minister met a number of athletes ,coaches and support staff, including Eoin Rheinisch, who finished 4th in Canoe Slalom. He was accompanied by OCI President Pat Hickey and Chef de Mission Dermot Henihan.
The Minister and his delegation later toured the Olympic Village facilities, including the Main Dining Hall, run by Ireland’s Katherine Toolson, where he met many Irish and International athletes , including Spanish tennis star Rafa Nadal.
