Dorothy Dermody – RIP
Ireland’s oldest Olympian Dorothy Dermody (McCormack) passed away very close to her 103rd Birthday. Dorothy a fencer from Cloughjordan, Co. Tipperary was recently awarded a medal of honour from the Olympic Council of Ireland for her participation at the 1948 Olympic Games in London. The family of Dorothy Dermody accepted the medal on her behalf. She was also the oldest living Olympic fencer.
