Team Ireland sent 62 athletes across 15 sports to the inaugural European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 12–28 June 2015, with boxer Katie Taylor as flagbearer. The team returned with 6 medals, 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze, ranking 25th on the medal table. Boxing was the standout sport, with Katie Taylor and Michael O'Reilly winning gold, Brendan Irvine taking silver, and Seán McComb adding bronze, while badminton siblings Sam and Josh Magee also medalled.
