Team Ireland sent 121 athletes across 17 sports to the 2023 European Games in Kraków-Małopolska, Poland, delivering Ireland's most successful European Games campaign with a total of 13 medals.
The men's rugby sevens team secured a historic gold medal and Olympic qualification for Paris 2024, while boxing once again proved a major medal-winning sport for Ireland with gold medals for Kellie Harrington and Aoife O'Rourke, silver medals for Jack Marley and Michaela Walsh, and a bronze medal for Dean Clancy.
Kickboxing also enjoyed a breakthrough Games, with Amy Wall claiming gold, Conor McGlinchey and Nathan Tait winning silver medals, and Nicole Bannon and Jodie Browne securing bronze.
Further success came from Jack Woolley, who won silver in taekwondo, and Sarah Lavin, who claimed bronze in the 100m hurdles.
Team Ireland concluded the Games with 4 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals, underlining the growing strength and diversity of Irish sport across a range of Olympic and European Games disciplines.
