OCI are in Tokyo to check out training camp facilities for 2020

The Olympic Council of Ireland are in Tokyo, the first planning visit for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The delegation are as follows:-

Stephen Martin – OCI CEO
Martin Burke – OCI Sports Director
Gavin Noble – OCI Athletes Commission,
Phil Moore – Irish Institute of Spot
Niamh O’Sullivan – Irish Institute of Sport
Gillian Brosnan – Athletics Ireland

The group are visiting many training camp facilities within close proximity to Tokyo. They have a received a very warm welcome from the various cities.

Our Honorary Secretary General – Sarah O’Shea and OCI Executive Board member Lochlann Walsh are also in Tokyo for meetings with the Japanese Olympic Committee, the Organising Committee, the Irish Embassy in Tokyo and many more contacts in order to develop key relationships and to check out accommodation and hospitality services.
