The Olympic Council of Ireland HQ team will be in London on March 7/8 2012 and will access the Olympic Village with LOCOG.
The OCI Performance support team will include Sonia O’Sullivan and core science and medical support staff.
It’s an opportunity to check out the proposed allocation of accommodation, medical and team space for the Irish Olympic Team in order to create a positive performance environment for athletes and support staff.
LOCOG have also arranged for OCI to view the behind the scenes operations at the London Prepares Swimming event on March 8th.
Irish swimmers will be part of the event which runs from 3-10th March.
LOCOG will test each of the venues destined for use at London 2012 through a series of international events to examine the field of play, results, scoring and timing systems as well as key operational procedures and functions.
