OFI Athletes’ Commission Secures IOC Athlete365 Career+ Workshop for Irish Athletes
The Olympic Federation of Ireland (OFI) Athletes’ Commission has successfully secured an IOC Athlete365 Career+ Self-Discovery Workshop – Power Up Your Future!, which will be delivered to Irish athletes by Barbara Kendall OLY.

Barbara Kendall is one of New Zealand’s most distinguished Olympians — an Olympic Champion, three-time Olympic medallist and five-time Olympian. Beyond her competitive career, she is a former member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission, an IOC Member, and a Master Educator with the IOC Athlete365 Career+ programme. The OFI is delighted that Barbara will lead this workshop, bringing her extensive experience both as an athlete and as an advocate for athlete development beyond sport.
This interactive workshop will be delivered across two online sessions and is designed to support athletes in reflecting on life beyond their sporting careers. Through guided discussion and practical exercises, athletes will explore their strengths, values and motivators, identify interests, skills and potential career pathways, and gain greater clarity around passion, purpose and actionable next steps for the future.
Workshop details:
- Dates: 22 and 29 January
- Time: 5.00pm
- Location: Online via Zoom
This opportunity is brought to athletes by the OFI Athletes’ Commission in collaboration with the Performance Life Skills Team and forms part of OFI’s ongoing commitment to supporting athletes’ holistic development.
