Many congratulations to Ireland’s Beijing Olympian Nicholas Roche for his superb performances at the 2010 Tour de France. Nicholas marked his first Tour as team leader with great success, finishing in the top 15 and winning a stage at the world of professional cycling’s toughest test.
‘His performances auger well for another possible shot at Olympic gold at the 2012 London Olympic Games’, said the Olympic Council of Ireland’s Sports Director, Martin Burke, an avid racing cyclist himself.
