We welcome the IOC’s updated policy on the protection of the female category in Olympic sport.
The approach reinforces the importance of fair and safe competition, while recognising the need for sport-specific application and respect for athletes’ rights and welfare.
From a Team Ireland perspective, our medical team will be involved in an update from the IOC next month and our focus will remain on supporting athletes and stakeholders with clarity and consistency as further guidance is provided.
