Olympic Science and Medical Conference

The next Olympic Council of Ireland Science and Medical Conference “Readying for Rio” will be held on the 27th November  2105.

Its an opportunity to bring together a range of support service providers from National Federations, Sports Institutes and the Olympic Council.

Key Outcomes of the conference will be:

Community Building and Ownership – bringing the core medical and science community working with the Olympic sports together

Knowledge Exchange – providing a forum for sharing of knowledge and information

Olympic Focus – updating on preparations for the Rio Olympic Games in 2016

 As per 2013,2014, 65 practitioners working within Olympic Sports high performance support services are expected to attend the 3rd conference in this Rio 2016 Olympic Cycle.

Guest speakers include Prof. Jason Ellis and Dr Jack Lambert. There will be the highly popular “elevator pitches” session and of course updates on Ireland’s preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
