Olympic Seminar

It will be an opportunity for a select group to meet, listen to, and question one of the most successful Head Coaches/ Performance Directors in Australian sport.
Ric Charlesworth biography: Former Australian hockey captain and voted world’s best player in his time, medical doctor, former MP, and coach of the Australian women’s team from 1993-2000 (winning back to back Olympic gold medals). Since the Sydney games he has worked in Aussie Rules football, been performance director of NZ cricket and has just been appointed as coach to the Indian hockey team. Throughout his time as a player and coach he has been involved with sport psychology services and the psychologist was a key part of the support team that worked with the Olympic winning teams in 1996 and 2000.
He has some pretty forthright opinions about sport psych and about managing elite performers.
