Olympic sponsor workshop at Cadbury

OCI sponsors met at Cadbury’s Dublin headquarters to discuss their sponsorship activation plans in Ireland for the London 2012 Games. OCI team sponsor Cadburys led the way in sharing how they have been active with their “spots and stripes” campaign, engaging everyone to get involved in games in the local community and online.

“Challenge an Olympian” online has been a great success.To get involved, you can challenge one of our Olympians – David Gillick, Michael Carruth, Kenny Egan and Sonia O’Sullivan – Beat them and you have the chance to win big game prizes. Not only that, all entrants will be put into a grand draw to WIN a trip to South Korea to watch the world track & field championships!

OCI President Pat Hickey opened proceedings along with Cadbury Ireland Managing Director Brian O’Sullivan. Cadbury presentations were led by Marketing Director Greta Hammel. OCI Chief Executive Stephen Martin gave sponsors an update on the London 2012 games and the potential sports and athletes who will make up the Irish Olympic Team. IOC Top sponsor Proctor and Gamble’s Patrick McGarry also included presentations of their successful USA 2010 programme and thoughts on its activation in Ireland leading into London 2012. Finally the new OCI website potential was discussed led by Shooting Performance manager Kevin Kilty and Stephen Martin.
