Ireland's second Europa Cup Win: Denmark 2009

Despite a black flag in the penultimate race, Dun Laoghaire sailor Matty O'Dowd has clinched his first Laser Radial Europa Cup win in Denmark, just one month before he heads to the ISAF Youth Worlds in Brazil. The victory is Ireland’s second consecutive Europa Cup win on the trot following the win by Annalise Murphy in Europa Cup Netherlands.

Sailing announces key appointments for 2012 Olympics

The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) became the first world governing body to announce the technical officials for the 2012 Olympics.

Max Treacy & Anthony Shanks qualify in Star class

The Coral Reef Yacht Club in Miami was the scene of a great day for Irish sailing. Max Treacy & Anthony Shanks clinched a nation place for Ireland in the Star Class at the 2008 Beijing Games with another excellent performance at the Star World Championships.Ireland will now be represented in 4 of the 11 categories at the 2008 Olympic Games: Star, Finn, Laser Radial and 470. Four years ago the ISA set a target of 4 boats for Beijing and it is a great achievement to reach that goal.

Peelo secures an Olympic place for Ireland

ISA announce team to compete in chinese Pre-Olympic Test Regatta

The ISA today announced eight sailors who will compete at the Pre-Olympic Regatta in Qingdao, China from 9th – 24th August 2007. Two further boat crews have yet to be confirmed.
