Pat Hickey and John Treacy opened the Irish Open Kickboxing Championships in City West Sunday 2nd March 2014.

The competition had an entry of 2,500 competitors which makes it one of the biggest competitions of its type in the World.   Great credit is due to Roy Baker and his Team who organised the event.

 

The event was also attended by the acting President of the International Kickboxing Federation – (WAKO) Espen Lund and Members of his Executive Board.   They had a discussion with John and Pat regarding the future of the Sport and Olympic recognition.
