Philip Murphy singled out at the RTE Sports Awards

CPSA High Performance Programme members Derek Burnett and Philip Murphy were singled out at the RTE Sports Awards which were televised last night for their outstanding successes in 2007 when they won individual silver medals in Olympic Trap at an ISSF World Cup and the ISSF World Championships respectively.
The consensus on the night was that Olympic shooting has taken a step forward in promoting itself amongst the mainstream sports and we look forward to building on this during 2008 as we face into the challenges of an Olympic year which we hope will provide us with an opportunity to showcase our sport and the achievements of our members.
