Congratulations to Rory McIlroy who was named RTÉ Sport – Person of the Year for the second time last night.
It was a remarkable year for the golf world number one, which included winning two Majors, the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool and the PGA Championship at Valhalla.
He also played a leading role in Europe’s Ryder Cup victory.
