Sean Greenwood’s Olympic Spirit

Sean Greenwood showed tremendous courage skill and mental toughness at speeds of 135km per hour at the Sanki sliding Centre this evening to recoup his world standing following last nights difficult run in heat 2.

Greenwood spent many hours last night in a the Olympic Medical Centre before being released and passed fit to compete today by Olympic physiotherapist Aidan Woods and coach Jeff Pain.

Of course any chance of a top 10 finish , his goal , had long since gone, but Greenwood tonight showed his worth as a top 20 slider on the world cup circuit.

Team Ireland athletes and officials were present to support Greenwood in the run that will define his 2014 Olympic Games.
