Shanahan Excels in 800m

Louise Shanahan qualified for the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games 800m Women’s A final in a time of 2:09.58, a seasons best and sixth fastest overall.

She finished 2nd in her heat behind the fastest qualifier Kalis Mareen 2:05.67.

In the men’s Discus Eoin Sheridan came 12th in his qualification event throwing 53.63 , which is short of his personal best of 58.44 and unofficially qualifies Eoin for the B final.
