Show Jumping Team at World Games

Ireland’s show jumping team will be in action at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy.

Ireland will compete, in alphabetical order, as:

Bertram Allen with Ballywalter Farms’s Molly Malone V
Cameron Hanley with Eleonore Paschoud and Yves Bouvier’s Antello Z
Darragh Kenny with Hyperion Stud’s Imothep
Denis Lynch with Thomas Straumann’s All Star 5The travelling reserve for the Irish team will be Conor Swail with Ariel and Susan Grange’s Lansdowne.

The show jumping section of the World Equestrian Games takes place in the D’Ornano Stadium starting on Tuesday September 2 with a speed competition.

Wednesday and Thursday will see the first Individual Qualifier and Team competition, with the third Individual Qualifying competition on Saturday and the Individual Final on Sunday September 7.

Team Manager Robert Splaine will be looing for a top 5 finish and early qualification for Rio 2016.

 

The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy brings together close to 1,000 riders and 1,000 horses from 74 nations for 15 days of world-class competition. The World Equestrian Games take place every four years, halfway between sets of consecutive Summer Olympic Games, and are administered by the world governing body, the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).
