About Baseball/SoftBall

Baseball and softball return to the Olympic programme at LA28 after last featuring at Tokyo 2020, fittingly given the sports' deep roots in American sporting culture.

Baseball is played by men and softball by women, both following broadly the same rules as their professional counterparts, with teams competing in round-robin and knockout formats to decide the gold medal.
