Flag football will make its Olympic debut at LA28. A limited-contact variant of American football in which tackling is replaced by pulling a flag from the ball carrier's belt, it is played five-a-side and is designed to be accessible to a broad range of athletes, without the padding and heavy contact of the traditional American game.
