Lacrosse returns to the Olympic programme at LA28 for the first time since 1908, in a fast, six-a-side "sixes" format designed for a compact, high-scoring, spectator-friendly competition. Players use a netted stick to catch, carry and shoot a small ball into the opposing goal, in a sport with deep roots in North America and growing international participation.
