Swim Ireland visit the OCI

Athletes and staff from Swim Ireland accompanied by Rio Team Leader Peter Banks and Swim Ireland CEO Sarah Keane today visited the offices of the Olympic Council of Ireland for a Rio orientation seminar.

The seminar was led by Team Ireland Chef de Mission Kevin Kilty, who gave an update on Team Ireland Rio preperations and an overview of the training and competition venues in Rio de Janeiro.
Speaking of the visit, Team Ireland Chef de Mission Kevin Kilty said “I’m delighted to be able to welcome Swim Ireland and their athletes to the home of the Olympic Council. This is a great opportunity for us to explain the role of the OCI and the work that we do for the athletes ahead of and during the games.”

The visit concluded with a tour of the OCI offices and museum led by OCI Secretary General Dermot Henihan.
