Burnetts total of 118 left him in outright 7th position overall which means that of this years four ISSF World Cups he had one 5th place finish and missed a further two possible final appearances by a solitary target.
The Ireland Olympic Trap Team finished in second place behind the Czech Republic thanks to strong performances by both Philip Murphy (115) and Shane Corrigan (114) which saw both shooters finish with top 20 scores.
The same Ireland Team can now look forward with optimism to next months European Championships at Osijek in Croatia, a venue which is somewhat of an unknown quantity on the international circuit.
