The 50th Anniversary of the XVII Olympiad

The 50th Anniversary of the XVII Olympiad in Rome, Italy in 1960 was celebrated this year.

The President of the Olympic Council of Ireland, Pat Hickey attended the celebrations in Rome.

The Photograph shows the Irish Delegation marching in the Opening Ceremony which should bring happy memories to those involved in these Games a half-century later.
