Tess Arbez broke new ground today for Snowsports in Ireland. Following on from Seamus O’Connor’s top ten place at the recent Snowboard World Championships, Tess finished 20th overall in Ladies Slalom with an overall time of 1.57.33 and +8.15 behind winner. Its another breakthrough and a credit to the support given to young winter sports men and women in Ireland through Snowsports Association of Ireland, Irish Sports Council,the Olympic Council of Ireland. Chef de Mission Anne O’Connor said ” we are thrilled for Tess, its an amazing achievement and the team are delighted for her. The team spirit and support here has been fantastic, and our skiers can’t wait to get back in action over the next few days. They are highly motivated to do the best they can in this very competitive environment”.
