Championships & High Performance Administrator
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects related to the coordination, management and running of specific ILGU tournaments
- Responsible for teaching and supporting districts in the use of ILGU competition software
- Responsible for maintenance of the Golfnet website (member queries, tournament uploads, website upgrades etc.)
- Administration and maintenance of ILGU Order of Merit(s), Scratch Cup Circuit and World Amateur Golf Ranking submissions
- Provide general administrative support including answering, fielding and where possible dealing with all queries in relation to the ILGU Performance Programmes, Championships and website support
- Responsible for the logistics and organisation of team/squad travel for competition at both domestic and international events (entries to competitions, travel and accommodation etc.)
- Maintain a database of players across all levels of the performance programmes and produce reports for HP & Selection Committees throughout the season
- Provide administrative support to the High Performance Committee
- Organise logistics of meetings, training seminars, workshops and other relevant events as required
- To work as part of a team with other ILGU administrative staff providing mutual cover as required
- Maintain strong working relationships and communication with Volunteers and Players
- Liaise with other administrative staff in the Golfing Union of Ireland and the Confederation of Golf in Ireland
Required skills and Experience:
- A professional qualification in Sports Management or similar discipline
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience of working with a variety of partners
- Good knowledge of golf is essential
- Excellent IT Skills, especially use of Microsoft Office applications
- Passion to work in sport
