Volkswagen To Sponsor Irish Team For 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

The plan will see Volkswagen in Ireland become the exclusive provider of car and mini bus team transport to Ireland’s Olympic team, trainers and officials during the preparation period leading up to the 2008 Games and for their exclusive use whilst participating at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

The arrangement was made possible in part by Volkswagen’s involvement as a major sponsor of the 2008 Olympic Games due to their long-standing presence in China as one of that country’s leading car manufacturers.
