Andrej Jezierski, qualified for London in the C1 200m at the canoe sprint Olympic Qualifier this afternoon in Poznan, Poland.
Jezierski has been training at the National Rowing Centre in Farran Wood, Co Cork, and is actually a member of Lee Valley rowing club, which is based at the top-class facility.
He is settled in Cork with his family, and recently gained an Ireland passport and declared in recent weeks to compete for Ireland.
He finished 2nd in the final, with only two boats qualifying.

Earlier this week Eoin Rhenisch and Hannah Craig qualified for London in canoe salom.
