The 8th Athletes Forum was held in Bratislava on 17th October. Our Athletes Commission Chairperson, Darren O’Neill (Boxing) represented the NOC of Ireland. Represetnatives from the top European athletes are gathered in the Slovakia capital city with a full days programme.
EOC Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi opened the Forum proceedings
that are conducted by Jean Michel Saive, the table tennis Belgian champion who chairs the European Athletes Commission.
Slovak NOC President Frantisek Chmelar and Secretary General Josef Liba paid a warm welcome to the European athletes who came to Bratislava.
Participants from some thirty-six national athlete’s commissions are addressing topical issues as participation in the Olympic Games, correct behaviour, social networks activity, Wada and Olympic Solidarity support, dual career. European represenatives will also hear reports in the Inaugural European Games and exchange experiences on their national commissions.
