The Green Army will take on Scotland in a 3 match series to be played in Glasgow this November (2nd, 3rd, 4th). The last time the two sides met was in Dublin last November when Ireland enjoyed a clean sweep of the series with 1-0, 2-1 and 4-0 victories. But the Scot’s had an impressive campaign at the recent Eurohockey Championships with two narrow 2-1 losses to England and Germany, and victories over Italy and Poland to retain their position in A Division. The series sees Graham Shaw hand senior debuts to Elena Tice and Gemma Frazer.
Speaking about the series, Shaw said “We’re missing a few senior players but that gives opportunities to other players in the squad to show what they can do.
We’re excited to get back on the pitch. Scotland is a very strong side and they have the ability to cause us some problems, we’re looking forward to seeing the Green Army handle these challenges”.
